Terdapat career mode dimana pemain dapat membuat stasiun peluncuran, gedung pusat kendali, satelit, pesawat ulang alik, roket, pusat pelatihan astronot, dan proyek raksasa lainnya. Disini pemain tidak sekedar mendapat kesenangan, tetapi juga kreatifitas dan logika.
Meluncur di Bumi, menembus atmosfer, menuju Bulan, melewati Mars, mengelilingi Matahari, keluar dari Tata Surya hingga melihat galaksi akan ditemukan dalam Kerbal Space Program.
